Leadership: BILT programs provide an interdisciplinary approach with programs taught by faculty with experience in management, human resources, IT, organizational development, intrapreneurship, and more.
Intrapreneurship: Marymount's Intrapreneurship Initiative is led by Jonathan Aberman, Dean of the College of BILT, and a well-known leader of the Greater Washington innovation community, and is closely connected with the greater metro DC business community.
Global Perspective: Both graduate and undergraduate students in the BILT business programs join one of the most diverse student bodies in the region choose from a variety of global business courses, many of which include a study abroad program over Spring Break.
Ethics in Business and Technology: A Marymount education focuses on developing ethical leaders, and BILT programs embed the study of ethics throughout the curriculum.
Technology and Innovation: Our students have the opportunity to leverage the expertise of BILT's outstanding School of Technology and Innovation to create specializations in Cybersecurity, Data Science, Digital Health, and Healthcare Informatics
Individualized MBAs: Our multidisciplinary faculty allow for many combinations of certificates and degrees that will help graduates stand out in the workplace. By combining certificates or completing the MBA with a second Master's program, students can create skill combinations that meet their career goals.
Hybrid, Mini-mester Program Design: The MBA we offer has unique advantages over MBAs offered by other universities, either in the classroom or online. Our MBA classes are offered in eight-week terms. This allows students who would like to accelerate their MBA to complete their course of study in a year. Classes are offered in a hybrid format that combines synchronous and asynchronous class work. This gives students the key benefit of a Marymount education – regular contact with faculty – while also allowing students who have other responsibilities to manage their schedule.
Data Science: Data Science has emerged as a new field that fits into many disciplines. Data science and analysis allows leaders to make informed decisions using data. BILT has incorporated Data Science into the IT and Cybersecurity curriculum, created a Data Science graduate certificate program, and teaches different methods of data analysis using various technologies. The exposure to new technologies and disciplines, such as Data Science, is meant to better prepare students for the workforce.
DBA in Business Intelligence: The online DBA in Business Intelligence is designed for working professionals with an emphasis on the values of service, social responsibility, and ethical leadership. The program focuses on actionable research, agility in a changing economy, and data-driven decision-making that will position you as a leader who can solve real-world problems.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Our multidisciplinary, unified faculty allows for many combinations of certificates and degrees that will help graduates stand out in the workplace.

Description
The College of BILT will be expanding its research areas in the Fall of 2021. One of the areas of interest is “The New Workplace," an interdisciplinary research area would engage the School of Business, Technology, and Design to research the ideal workplace in a post-COVID world. The research would look at sustainability, workforce development, design, and other factors that contribute to the development of a workplace.
School's environmental commitment 1:
The interdisciplinary Sustainability minor is available to all undergraduate students. The minor in sustainability prepares students from any major to become environmentally literate citizens who can incorporate sustainable practices in their lives and careers. As an interdisciplinary program, it provides students with the opportunity to focus and refine the knowledge gained from their own fields of study by adding the perspective of other disciplines.
School's environmental commitment 2:
Epsilon Eta Xi is a student organization at Marymount University which has been founded in order to recognize and connect outstanding people who have an interest in the environment and to provide them with a network of support and opportunities during and after their academic career. The organization provides environmental service and education by collaborating with current student organizations, and soliciting community opinion regarding potential environmental service projects.
School's environmental commitment 3:
